Brazilian actor, filmmaker, and creative mind Cauê Fantin is taking the vertical screen revolution beyond borders. Selected to compete in Reel Vertical Impact — the world’s first global competition dedicated exclusively to vertical series — Fantin now represents Brazil among a select group of creators shaping the future of digital entertainment.

Hosted by the platform ReelShort, the competition will award over half a million dollars to the most innovative projects, positioning the vertical format as one of the most promising frontiers in audiovisual storytelling. For Fantin, it’s not only a career milestone but also recognition of a creative language he helped popularize in Brazil.

His nominated series, which has already reached millions of views, blends cinematic direction with a dynamic narrative adapted to the smartphone era — proving that great storytelling transcends the screen’s orientation. Through emotional intensity and visual precision, Fantin has become one of the key figures leading Brazil’s emergence in this fast-evolving field.

2025 also marks a year of accolades for the creator. Fantin is among the nominees at the Rio WebFest, Latin America’s largest digital festival, competing in Best Vertical Series and Best Drama Actor. He is also a four-time nominee at the Kwai Awards, where he has previously won Best Innovation for Copa dos Sonhos and Best Editing for Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Future.

Adding to the artistic strength of his current project is actress Maya Aniceto, one of the rising names in Brazil’s vertical entertainment industry and the star of Globo’s hit “Cinderela e o Segredo do Pobre Milionário.” Her participation reinforces how vertical storytelling is no longer an experimental space — it’s a new form of mainstream production.

Fantin’s innovation extends beyond fiction. In 2024, he directed the first Brazilian vertical series filmed entirely on a Samsung smartphone, a project that drew nearly 20 million views and earned partnerships with Samsung and O Boticário. His ability to merge technology and emotion continues to set new standards for digital cinema and branded storytelling.

Driven by vision and artistic precision, Cauê Fantin is more than a competitor — he’s a pioneer in reimagining how stories are told, consumed, and felt in the vertical age.
